SAM Eaton Football Trial
KAJANG, February 22nd – Holistic effort on educating young aspiring football players on The Southampton Way. An objective that requires endless efforts with an aim to develop more talents at grassroot levels. That is what Southampton Academy Malaysia (SAM) are looking into and the collaboration between SAM and Eaton International School in conducting football trials is just the beginning.
The event which participated by 50 Eaton International students opens the door for students of Eaton International School from various aged groups to get a taste of the Southampton Way of playing football. This event also holds an objective of Eaton International school having their own Football team of various aged groups from Under-8 team until Under-17 team in the future.
The two-hour sessions were led by SAM Head Coach Mr. Patrick Asare and assisted by Coach Clifford introduces students to various football training drills which include short and long passing, ball control, shooting and Small Sided games. SAM Head Coach Mr. Patrick Asare told SAM’s media:
“It was great to see the enthusiasm shown by all students from Eaton International School participating in this trial session. They gave their full commitment throughout the sessions and I can see many talents within this group of players. I believe they can be good players in the future if they consistently work hard and improve day by day.” – Mr. Patrick Asare (SAM Head Coach)
SAM would like to thank Eaton International School for having us to conduct this trial sessions and we hope that this collaboration will be continuous with the same objective of shaping more young aspiring football talents in the future.
