GS Gill Visit
PETALING JAYA, March 14th - A fruitful discussion indeed as we were visited by Mr. Havey Singh, Sales and Marketing Manager of GS Gill one of Southampton Academy Malaysia’s strategic partner. After the success of SAM Women’s Football Clinic last year, both SAM and GS Gill Sports is currently planning something big this coming June 2024.
Southampton Academy Malaysia (SAM) DVP, Alliances & Partnership, Mr Steven Raj told SAM’s Media that this collaboration has been a success for both parties especially in developing young football talent in grassroot level:
“Our collaboration with GS Gill has been massive especially towards supporting our initiative in the development of young upcoming footballers in Malaysia. The success of SAM Women’s Football Clinic last year which we organised together with GS Gill has attracted many young Women’s footballers to learn more on the ‘Southampton Way’ of football and on June this year SAM’s and GS Gill Sports are planning on something big for all Malaysia’s Grassroot Football Community.”
“GS Gill Sports is a long-standing brand in Malaysia and to have them supporting us surely is massive. Both parties focus on the same goal which is to provide a platform for all young Malaysians not to just enjoy football but making football as a platform for them to learn other valuable skills which are equally important than just winning games. With this shared vision, it was easier for us to work together and making things happen for the benefit of Malaysia’s Grassroot Football.”
Stay tuned for updates on the latest project between SAM and GS Gill Sports which will involve future competition and development program within grassroot football in Malaysia.
